Hey,

I similar to to back up my computer regularly, and I other store my computer backups on my external unyielding disk drive. I've got Norton Ghost 12, and I enabled automatic backup once a week, every Sunday at 12:00PM.I want to leave my external hdd plugged into my USB port on my computer at adjectives times..Is this good ? If I do this I won`t own to worry just about it, and when Sunday comes, Norton Ghost will automatically start backing up my computer to that external tricky drive.

Thanks

Hello, there is nought wrong, if you leave an external strong drive plugged in adjectives the time just approaching the way we move out our printers, scanners, mouse, modem and any other external devices plugged in adjectives the time, there are few exceptions surrounded by odd times, you may similar to to do the follwoing steps:

* if computer freezes or crash, you may like to unplug your external tricky drive including any other external devices and shut down your computer by pushing the power button if yo have no prospect to shut it offf, restart and plug back

* if your external complicated drive is not responding, unplug everything and have computer restart, plug individual external hard drive first and check if it is working, because problem could be beside some of other device.
leave it plugged within.
Yes, go for it.
I usually don't, since if you get hold of a virus that destroys files on existing disc drives, you'll lose all of your backup as well... ~
