My behind the times graphics card works?
If it's not booting at all and another video card works fine. Possible issue beside the card. The virus that erased video bios chips was a bit weak, little rare. If you own a anti-virus program, it would have caught it. If you believe it is/was a virus, you could try to generate a bootable floppy, and install on it the bios update for the card, then allow it to boot up next to the floppy and try to update. Typically there are instructions on how to do this from the architect of the video card.
I would try the video card in another computer, if it works, it's not the card. You might want a local computer store to lug a look at the system.
